From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of Maine Bigfoot Foundation
Michael Vashon and Janelle Graf met through mutual friends in their Bigfoot groups on Facebook in 2016, many years after both of them had Class A sightings. In October of 2019 a member of the group contacted us and with concerns about activity on her property. She requested an investigation. Michael, Janelle and Carl went to the property and made the determination that the Bigfoot or creature was watching over her and her property. She was not in danger. Her concerns were alleviated.
In November of 2019 while sitting in a tree stand hunting, waiting for that big buck to come along. Mike messaged Janelle and said, "Hey, why don't we start a Non-Profit Foundation? We can start investigating sightings here in Maine and use the information to educate and inform other Mainers on what to do should they encounter Bigfoot here. We won't charge for our service. We just want to try and find that one piece of evidence that might be IT. "Janelle's reply was "Let's do it." And here we are.
